| He was elected academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) in 1995. He has been engaging in the research and design of the field of reactor physics and nuclear safety for a long time. He took charge of the physical research and design of a number of reactor projects. He also presided over the study, design and examination and approval of the criticality safety of nuclear installations. He took charge of the construction and physical startup of China's first fast neutron zero energy reactor. His work laid the foundation for the start of China's fast reactor study. He succeeded in the development of subminiature reactor. He won the first prize of National Award of Science and Technology Advancement. At present, he is director of S&T Committee of the Institute of Reactor Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Nuclear Science and concurrently the head of the Criticality Safety team of the China National Corporation of Nuclear Industry, a member of the Expert Committee of the State Nuclear Safety. |
