| She was elected academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) in 1995. During her early professional years, she engaged in the studies of high voltage technique and made outstanding achievements. She is one of the pioneers in the study of non-trauma medical techniques in China who took the lead in applying multi-discipline knowledge and technologies to the research and development of new medical equipment and facilities. She is also one of the major developers of vitro nephrolith pulverizer which won the first prize of National Award of Science and Technology Advancement. She took charge of the development of the radio frequency heat treatment apparatus for benign hyperplasia of prostate and heat treatment apparatus for treating tumors. At present, she is director of the Institute of Biomedical Instrument Research of Shanghai Jiaotong University. |
