| He was elected a member of the academic committee of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in 1980. From 1950 to 1979, he developed and set "Five Firsts" in China, namely, the first neutron crystal spectrometer, the first neutron diffractometer, the first fast neutron zero energy reactor, the first batch of neutron permutation phosphor mixed monocrystalline silicon, and the first subminiature reactor, which reached then international advanced level. He won the first prize of National Award of Science and Technology Advancement. He served as the honorary president of the Chinese Academy of Nuclear Science, a member of Academic Degrees Committee of State Council,the managing director of China Society of Nuclear Science, and president of the executive council of the China Society of Nuclear Dynamics. |
