| He was elected a member of the academic committee of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in 1991. In the 1950s, he put forward the photoelectrical film grain-to-grain boundary theory obstacles and developed high pure silicon polycrystal for the first time in China which was put into volume production. In the 1960s, he made great contributions to the study of high silicon back pressure planar transistor. After 1975, he finished the development and study of micron large-scale integrate technique and integrate circuit, 1 micron super-scale integrate circuit technique and electrical equipment for the first time in China. He succeeded in the development of 1 megabit Chinese Character Storage ROM. He presided over a state key fund program, namely, “The Study of System Integrate Technology”. He has made a number of internationally advanced achievements in the study of silicon system and personal computer integrate electronic system. He has successively served as deputy director of the Academic Committee of Tsinghua University, chairman of Academic Committee of the Information Science And Technology School and Chinese Institute of Microelectronics, and vice president of the executive council of the China Society of Electronics. His work, ULSI Parts, Circuit and System, is collected in "Local Literature Collection of Works by Celebrities of Ningbo Natives"of the Ningbo Municipal Library. |
